Bills introduced in the House include:
• Healthy School Meals Flexibility Act (H.R. 2508) would set the whole-grain rich standard at 50 percent vs. the current 100 percent standard. It would also set the sodium standard at current levels without ability for further reduction.
• Wise Investment in our Children Act (H.R. 2660) would increase the age limit of children participating in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Programs for WIC one additional year – five to six.
• Salad Bars in Schools Expansion Act (H.R. 2627) would create a five year program to increase the number of salad bars in schools participating in the National School Lunch Program.

The Summer Meal Site Finder is a free, web-based application that features an easily-searchable map to help locate sites serving summer meals throughout the country.
